In a lovely courtyard setting lined with persimmon, pine and magnolia trees, not far from all the shopping of NW 23rd and bus and freeway access, nestled on a quiet residential street, Macleay Gardens is a pastoral place to live inside the city. It is just a block from the Lower Macleay entrance to Forest Park, with a very pretty trail along Balch Creek. Each entryway off of the Macleay courtyard is like a townhouse entrance to just four apartments (separated from next door by a hidden concrete firewall, which reduces noise.) Your neighbors are across the hall from you and also, the walls are double thick (plaster over sheetrock), so you get a lot of privacy. Everything is very bright because all of the apartments have windows on at least two sides of the building (new and energy efficient). All have hardwood floors, a walk-in closet, and gas heat. Utilities Included: Water & Sewage, Garbage, and also Hot Water. You are entitled to one space in our parking lot (not assigned, but it's usually easy to park). Street parking is also easy and often you can park right next to your back door.
